Almost half (40%) of the world's mammalian population is comprised of rodents. There are over 2,000 species in the ‘Rodentia' order, the most common of which are squirrels, mice, and rats. Many rodents, while seemingly harmless, can cause structural damage and can carry fleas and mosquitoes, as well as a number of airborne bacterial diseases.
